I really don't like to listen and take notes at the same time. That is really tricky when it comes to university classes. I love to listen but hate to take notes. I asked a blind guy in my group who recorded the courses during the year if he could pass me the audio files of them. He seemed not interested in sharing them. Maybe because his Apple laptop and his recorder are really expensive things.

That's easy to say but if I had that kind of stuff, I would share with whoever asks. I hate note-taking.

Have you considered that the blind student may have had to get permission to record the classes, and might not be authorised to pass the recordings along? (risk of leakage, etc?)

I know that blind students in my uni had to get authorisation from teachers for recording their classes, and that some of them actually refused to let them do so.

I don't think the problem comes from that because he didn't talk about that point. He just didn't want to share. In fact, I braught up the authorisation point and he didn't even notice it... :p
