    - Feed aggregator: NetNewsWire!
    - Install X11, gtk+, and then you can run Gaim. It does metacontacts in a clever way. :)
    - A disk image is a .dmg file. It's a bit like a .iso that's mounted by the computer.

    - backslash = alt + shift + /
    - iTunes : use "Browse", Apple+B :)
    - aggregator : Netnewswire
    - disk image = .dmg files mounted in RAM

    Stephanie,

Congratulations! I have an iBook (w/Airport card), an eMac, and a mini iPod. I'm a Mac fiend.:-)

The back shortcut for Firefox is option + left arrow. To stop your dock icons from jumping just go to System Preferences => Dock => and then uncheck the box that says "animate opening applications". I don't think you need this DockDetox thing.

I second the motion about NetNewsWire.

Whoops. I kept getting an error that your mt-comment page couldn't open. I kept hitting the button. Sorry.
  • Steph · 5 years ago
No problem, Rashunda, I'll clean up the comments. Dock Detox keeps the icons from bouncing up and down when a program wants your attention. The "animate open applications" setting only has an impact on when you open applications (which doesn't bother me).

Congratulations. A picture along would the cat and the iBook would be perfect. Btw, here are some of the pictures from our trip. I finally put them up in separate albums, all neatly organised :) (Emails to your are bouncing back.)

If you use iTunes correctly, there's no need to worry about file names. :)
