Climb to the Stars: Deal

  • Alex · 8 years ago
Holy Sh*t, that is a deal. Especially in France. Now all you need is a
digital camera so you don't have to worry about color fidelity on scans.

hehe. I'm in Switzerland - sorry if the "language" flag is misleading. So
it's swiss francs, and not french francs (multiply that price by four).
As for the digital camera, it's on the "wishlist" (feeling generous, any
of you?) - but I'm not going to abandon normal film though, I like it way
    too much.

Others might have the same bad tools, so the new scans might become to
dark for people with "bad tools"! (old monitor) Even LCD/Notebook-Screens
are different in colors than usual a usual Monitor!
    nevertheless: Bon voyage!!!!

hehe. if some people are to be unsatisfied, I'd rather it be because I'm
"doing it the right way" (and trust me, it won't make the scans unreadable
    - I wasn't too happy with them anyway).

What is the right way? Being conform to standards? Being readable with any
browser? Questions, that are not to answer that easily!
Do it YOUR way!!! We like it the way you're doing it!
    Just do it! :-)
  • Tara · 8 years ago
Easy. The right way, as far as scans are concerned, is the one which makes
the scanned picture on a properly calibrated monitor most ressemble the
    original slide.
  • mad · 8 years ago
Well, I agree! And I am looking forward to new picture scans of India
you'll put on your page after your trip.
